Plex.tv/link (also written as https plex.tv link or https www.plex.tv link) is the official Plex device linking page. When you open the Plex app on a TV or streaming device and choose Sign In, the app displays a 4-character code. You then open plex.tv/link on a phone, tablet, or computer, sign in to your Plex account, and enter that code. The TV signs in automatically a few seconds later. This method exists because typing a long email address and password with a TV remote is slow and error prone. With the link code, you do the typing on a device with a real keyboard.

Log in with your email, or continue with Google, Apple, or Facebook. New users can create a free account here.

Enter the TV code and select Link

Type the code exactly as shown on the TV and submit it. Your TV app refreshes and signs you in.
Link codes are temporary and work only once. If the code expires before you enter it, go back to the TV and request a new one.

You need a Plex account before you can use plex.tv/link.
  • Plex TV sign up: Creating an account at plex.tv is free. You can register with an email address or continue with Google, Apple, or Facebook.
  • Plex TV sign in: On the linking page, sign in with the same account you want to use on your TV. If your browser is already signed in to a different Plex account, sign out first.
  • Plex Pass: Plex Pass is an optional paid subscription. You do not need it to link a device.
